MONOLITH HOME & DETIERRA HOME

The Monolith Homes are a series of 6 rammed earth homes in the desert of Parras, Mexico. The inspiration comes from the canyons near by that were once filled with running water.

Detierra was Javier’s first attempt in rammed earth. Now the project consists of 8 rammed earth homes. The dwellings are used as short term rentals which are occupied 75% of the year.

Both projects were conceptualized, designed, and constructed by Javier. Interior design was done by Valeria Narro
